NYS MR/DDNA SCHOLARSHIP

Two $1000 scholarships will be awarded by the NYS MR/DD Nurses Association to encourage nurses to explore or remain in the field of MR/DD nursing and also support new nursing students who come from a background of work with MR/DD individuals.

An Eligible Applicant is:

1. An LPN currently matriculating in an accredited RN program in New York State.
2. A NY State resident.
3. A person who is currently working or has previously worked in the field of MR/DD.

or

1. A nursing student matriculating in an accredited RN program in NY state.
2. A NY State resident.
3. A person who is currently working or has previously worked in the field of MR/DD.

Applicants must submit:

1. A resume which includes educational and work experiences and
2. An essay of not more than 500 words explaining their future educational and professional goals.

Scholarship awards for 2008 will be presented at the Fall state conference. Applications must be received by April 1, 2008 to:
